    About This Episode

Welcome to the third episode of Bubbles Behavioral Learning's podcast series!

In this episode, Naiha Khan shares her journey from being an RBT to becoming a QBA, particularly discussing her experience of training parents and why there is a divide between ABA therapists and parents of clients that we serve in Pakistan. As a supervising behaviour analyst, she shares strategies to make caregiver training more effective and identifies potential barriers to it. She also talks about how supervisors can empower therapists to make them feel more confident in involving parents.

Together with Naiha, we try to unpack one particular question: Why are our therapists hesitant to interact with families?

In this episode, we cover the following areas:

    • Career progression from an RBT to a supervising role, such as a QBA
    • Common barriers to parent training, specifically within the Pakistani community
    • Prerequisites for parent training such as logistics, staff training and creating a space etc.
    • Tips and strategies on making parent training more effective
    • Parent training vs Parent observation
